ACSP workshops underway

The Australasian Council of Security Professionals (ACSP) invites industry to attend a workshop to develop the model and criteria for the Security Professionals' Registry - Australasia.

As mentioned previously on Security Access, the Federal Attorney-General's Department has provided support for the ACSP to conduct research and development for the implementation of a National Registry for the security profession.

In order to gain the widest possible input from the profession, a series of workshops are being held in Australia and New Zealand to determine the criteria for registration, the model, governance and processes for the registry.

It is also intended to supplement these workshops with an online survey.

Workshop details are as follows:

Adelaide: 13 August, 9:30 to 11:30am, Crown Plaza, 16 Hindmarsh Square.

Melbourne: 24 August, 9 to 11am, Victorian Arts Centre.

Venues are yet to be confirmed for:
Canberra: 26 August.
Sydney: 3 September.
Brisbane: 7 September.
Wellington: 14 September.
Auckland: 15 September.

Please advise attendance by email to Don Williams, ACSP Secretary, at
