Axis to monitor Parliament House

Axis Communications' IP Network Cameras are being used to monitor Parliament House in Canberra, as part of a major contract won by BAE Systems to replace the existing Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) management system.

Axis encoders are already in use at Parliament House to support the existing analogue DVR systems.

As part of the upgrade to the CCTV management system, several new Axis IP Network Cameras will be installed throughout the premises.

These cameras will provide:
- 1080i HDTV quality images for detailed image clarity;

- intelligent video capabilities, such as advanced motion detection, audio detection and detection of camera tampering;

- high performance in extreme weather conditions;

- easy installation and discreet design for indoor surveillance;

- smooth integration with existing building management system; and

- remote monitoring capabilities.
